»We continually try to optimize individual steps and chains of production with great care in order to find the best compromise for durability, quality, the ecosystem and our workforce, even if that makes our products a little more expensive. In that respect, we hope that the concept of ´sustainability´ will itself be recycled and not lose its current vogue, like many other ´trends´ have in the past.«
our mission
As one of the leading manufacturers of water sports and bike equipment, we at Boards & More Group see it as our responsibility to lead by example when it comes to sustainability.
Therefore, we strive to continuously optimize packaging, materials, manufacturing and delivery processes to minimize or optimally eliminate their harmful impact on the environment.
However, sustainability does not only mean the ecological footprint of the company, but also social aspects with regard to employees and partners, as well as social commitment worldwide.
To achieve this, sustainability is considered as a criterion in all major business decisions, right down to the smallest decisions in day-to-day operations.
The aim is to continuously initiate, develop and optimise measures that lead to greater sustainability.
Sustainability starts with the right mindset.
our principles
In order to give the path of sustainability a framework and a name to our efforts, we have bundled all ideas and forces under the initiative 'Save our Playgrounds'.
our steps
At Boards & More Group, sustainability is understood as a continuous process and part of the corporate strategy, not as a temporary project.
We move forward step by step, sometimes with larger, sometimes with smaller steps, the important thing is that we maintain the direction.
packaging information
Understanding Packaging Labels
On all our packaging, you will find international material codes that help you dispose of the packaging correctly and learn more about the material used. We use either paper materials or plastic materials for our packaging. We continuously strive to increase the proportion of recycled raw materials in our packaging.
Paper Materials
20 PAP - Corrugated cardboard
21 PAP - Other cardboard
22 PAP - Paper
Disposal:
Paper bin/waste paper collection
Please check for local variations in your municipality
Remove adhesive tapes and other foreign materials before disposal
Reuse:
We recommend reuse for private purposes. Otherwise, recycle through the paper bin.
Recycled content:
The recycled content is indicated next to the material code on the packaging. Without indication, it is 0%.
Plastic Materials
01 PET - Polyethylene terephthalate
02 PE-HD - High-density polyethylene
03 PVC - Polyvinyl chloride
04 PE-LD - Low-density polyethylene
05 PP - Polypropylene
06 PS - Polystyrene
07 O - Other plastics
Disposal:
Plastic recycling bin
Check your local collection systems - some municipalities separate plastics by type
For separate collection: Pay attention to codes and material abbreviations
Reuse:
Use as garbage bag
Use as bicycle seat cover against rain
Recycled content:
The recycled content is indicated next to the material code on the packaging. Without indication, it is 0%.

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)
Manufacturers must participate in extended producer responsibility systems. This means:
Recycling financing: EPR systems contribute to financing the collection, sorting and recovery of our packaging
Registration: Packaging must be registered with the relevant national authorities
Reporting: Manufacturers regularly report the quantities of packaging placed on the market
We continuously work on optimizing our packaging for better recyclability.
Through your correct disposal, you support this cycle and contribute to environmental protection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are there different codes on one package?
When packaging consists of different materials (e.g., cardboard with plastic film), each material receives its own code.
What does it mean when no recycled content is indicated?
Without indication, the recycled content is 0% - the packaging consists of new material.
Can I dispose of all plastics together?
This depends on your local collection system. Check with your municipality about the exact separation requirements.
